CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT

More and more organisations are transforming their functioning into being project based as it not only offers them a flexible setup but also helps them in executing the dream of having an ever-changing and developing business landscape. The flexibility projects offer brings along with it the challenges in execution, as the way it is managed plays a vital role in achieving the project requirements.

The Certificate Programme in Project Management is a 6-month programme that is aligned to IIM Nagpur’s Executive Education objective of providing working executives with the opportunity to improve their management knowledge and skills. The structure of the programme, mode of delivery, timing of sessions, and pedagogy are carefully crafted to help learners balance their dual goals of workplace commitments.

The world, and India in particular, is undergoing tremendous changes, and it is an era of innovation. The Indian government has planned and announced major policy initiatives such as ‘Make in India’, ‘SMART Cities’, ‘Stand-Up India’, ‘Digital India’, and mega infrastructure development projects like ports, railways, airports, highways, etc. As technology is developing and Industry 4.0 evolves and expands, new-age business models and rising consumer expectations are fuelling a tremendous demand for skilled and certified project management professionals across all industry verticals. Thus, project management is also of significant importance to nation-building.

The Economic Times has cited a report by PMI saying that India is the fastest-growing market for Project Management-oriented employment. As per the report, by 2027, India will have the second-largest number of project management-oriented jobs in the world only behind China.

• Diploma (10+2+3) or bachelor’s degree or equivalent (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) or 2-Year master’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU) in any discipline
• Minimum 4 years of work experience after completion of qualifying education.
• Participants who fulfil the above criteria and are not currently working are also eligible to apply
• Internship and training experience is not included in fulltime work experience
• Final selection will be done by IIM Nagpur

The selection will be based on candidate’s profile evaluation, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

The programme is delivered through blended learning mode. The in-class component will involve a variety of pedagogical techniques like lectures, case discussions, simulation games, role-plays, group projects, and other experiential exercises. The online component, delivered through a state-of-the-art Interactive Learning platform, will facilitate learning in synchronous mode using multimedia components for enhanced engagement and experience.
